Notice of Intention to pass an Amending

By-law To Remove a Holding “H” Symbol

In accordance with Section 36 of the Planning Act R.S.O 1990 c.P.13., Council of the Town of Penetanguishene on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 intends to pass a Zoning By-law amendment to remove a Holding “H” Symbol from the Zoning By-law.

The lands affected by the proposed amendment are municipally known as 125 McArthur Drive and are currently zoned Shoreline Rural Residential (SR1) with Holding “H” symbol.  The present zoning was passed by the Town of Penetanguishene on January 26th, 2000. The zoning was approved with a Holding “H” Symbol to indicate that changes to the property could not occur until:

1.The Owners provided confirmation that the septic system meets the Building Code       requirements        

The Owner has fulfilled the necessary requirements pertaining to the Holding “H” Symbol and the Town is therefore in a position to remove the Holding “H” Symbol.  Council of the Town of Penetanguishene will consider this proposed Zoning By-law amendment at a meeting to be held on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Townhall at 10 Robert Street West, Penetanguishene.

Additional information relating to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment is available for inspection between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Planning and Community Development Department, Townhall 10 Robert Street West, Penetanguishene or by calling 705-549-7453, Extension 215.
