Canada Day - July 1st

North Simcoe Canada 150 Mural Project

To celebrate Canada 150, Quest Art School + Gallery will undertake a large-scale community-building art project with the outcome of four murals created for the municipalities of Midland, Penetanguishene, Tay and Tiny.  Each mural will speak to the history of the community in the context of the Canada 150 celebrations and will reference the other murals through common design elements.  Local citizens from each community will participate in developing the mural concepts and history depicted and also in the painting of the murals.  The project will also include an interactive component that will link viewers of the murals, via their mobile devices, to two-minute videos, available in both official languages.  The murals will be officially unveiled on Canada Day 2017.
