The Town of Penetanguishene is pleased to announce the completion of the Philip H. Jones Pollution Control Plant (PCP) upgrades project located at 24 Main Street. To celebrate this achievement, Mayor Gerry Marshall and the members of Penetanguishene Council will be unveiling a plaque at the entrance to the facility on December 21st at 1 pm. The plaque will commemorate the project partnership between the federal, provincial and municipal governments.

The Town of Penetanguishene and Simcoe County Waste Collection would like to advise the residents and businesses that winter weather is impacting waste collections this morning (Tuesday collection routes in Wasaga Beach, Tiny, Tay, Severn, Midland, and Penetanguishene).  Full crews are out from Waste Connections and are proceeding cautiously given the conditions.  Most all crews have been redeployed into the urban areas where plows have made collections safer. ...

Good morning\Bonjour
Last evening saw us gather for a special Town Christmas get together with council, town staff (past and present) and our wonderful volunteers.  I took a moment to watch quietly from the back of the room and what I saw at each table were smiling faces, stories being told, much laughter and great camaraderie.  It was easily evident as to why it is that we live in such a wonderful town.
