The Town of Penetanguishene is issuing a Request for Expression of Interest from contractors specializing in dock construction for the design build of a floating T Dock system for the Town of Penetanguishene.
The Town and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans are staging for the divestiture of Penetang Harbour including the Town Dock. As part of the repairs and upgrades to be completed prior to transfer, the DFO and the Town plan to construct a new floating T Dock structure. To prequalify for this design build project which is to be completed during the winter of 2010-2011 with installation for May 01st, 2011, qualified firms are invited to subject an Expression of Interest including the name of the firm and contact information; qualifications/certifications, past experience on similar projects and a minimum of (3) references. Only those parties that submit an EOI will be invited to participate further in the process. The Town intends to select pre-qualified bidders to participate in a Request for Proposal in September.
