Please be advised, the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene will receive a presentation and report pertaining to the review of Council Remuneration for the upcoming Council term commencing December 1, 2010 through to November 30, 2014 at its meeting to be held on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers located at 10 Robert Street West, Penetanguishene. The Council Remuneration review compares the rates paid to the members of Council to the Penetanguishene’s comparators including: Annual Remuneration paid to members of Council Benefit Coverage such as Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Extended Health Dental and/or OMERS. Additional Compensation including the 1/3 Tax Free Allowance, Provision of Notebook Computers, Internet Reimbursement and Telecommunication Devices. Training, Conferences & Related Expenses including Per Diems, Meals Reimbursement, Mileage & Accommodations. The report is not recommending any changes to Council Remuneration, other than an annual indexing of the Per Diem.
