Conducting Civil Marriage Ceremonies

A civil marriage ceremony can be performed by the Town Clerk in the Council Chambers at the Townhall or at a location of your choice within North Simcoe. Dates and times may be accommodated dependent upon the availability of the Clerk, and that sufficient notice is provided. The fee for the civil ceremony is:

$200 (between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday to Friday) or;
$250 (evenings and weekends)

A $50 deposit is required at time of booking and is applied to the total fee. Payment must be received prior to the service taking place and is payable by cash or debit.

Due to the civil nature of this service, interested parties must be aware that there cannot be any religious connotation to the service whatsoever. If you are interested in having your marriage ceremony performed by the Clerk, you will be required to meet with the Clerk at least one week prior to the ceremony at which time the guidelines will be reviewed and the actual service agreed upon.
