Conducting Civil Marriage Ceremonies A civil marriage ceremony can be performed by the Town Clerk in the Council Chambers at the Townhall or at a location of your choice within North Simcoe. Dates and times may be accommodated dependent upon the availability of the Clerk, and that sufficient notice is provided. The fee for the civil ceremony is:
Due to the civil nature of this service, interested parties must be aware that there cannot be any religious connotation to the service whatsoever. If you are interested in having your marriage ceremony performed by the Clerk, you will be required to meet with the Clerk at least one week prior to the ceremony at which time the guidelines will be reviewed and the actual service agreed upon. Sample ceremonies to select from for your ceremony are available through the Clerk and the content of the ceremony can be personalized to better suit your needs. |
