NOVEMBER 2012 THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene declare the month of November as Pulmonary Hypertension Month. OCTOBER 2012 THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene declare the month of October as Lupus Awareness Month. THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene proclaims October 2012 as Toastmasters Month in the Town of Penetanguishene. THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene proclaims the week of October 14th to 20th, 2012 as Local Government Week in the Town of Penetanguishene. THAT the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene proclaims October 24th, 2012 as World Polio Day in the Town of Penetanguishene. THAT as per the recommendation of the Recreation & Cultural Services Section, the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene declare the week of April 28, 2012, as Pitch In Week. MARCH 2012 THAT as per the recommendation of the Recreation Cultural Services Section, the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene proclaim March 31st, 2012, at 8:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. as Earth Hour in the Town of Penetanguishene. FEBRUARY 2012 THAT as per the recommendation of the Heritage Penetanguishene Committee, the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene proclaim February 20 to 24, 2012, as Ontario Heritage Week in the Town of Penetanguishene. MARCH 2011 THAT as per the recommendation of the Planning and Development Services Section, the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene proclaim March 26, 2011 at 8:30 p.m. as Earth Hour in the Town of Penetanguishene; AND THAT Council approve the Town's participation in the event by way of registration and promotion on the Town's website and Townpage. The Council of the Town of Penetanguishene has proclaimed March 14th - 22nd, 2011, as Water Week in the Town of Penetanguishene. FEBRUARY 2011 THAT as per the recommendation of the Transportation & Environmental Services Section, the Council of the Town of Penetanguishene endorsement the resolution as presented by the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative pertaining to Renewable Energy Development in the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River Region; AND THAT staff be directed to forward Council's endorsement to the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative, the Ministry of the Environment and local MPP. |
