Arena & Recreation Centre Study

Arena & Recreation Centre Study

The Town of Penetanguishene is preparing an Arena & Recreation Centre Study to guide decision-making with respect to the future of the Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre. Options include a major retrofit of the current facility or developing a new recreation centre at another location in town. Through this study, other indoor recreation needs will also be considered, such as gymnasium sports, indoor walking, curling, program and event space, and more.

The Study will be informed by recently completed building condition and structural assessments, community research and input, trends, and experiences from other communities. Facility needs, options, costs and locations will be determined. By identifying current needs and a strategic implementation plan, the Study will ensure that the Town continues to provide a high standard of indoor recreation services.
