Annual Report Card Results

We asked, You answered, We are listening!

In December 2012, Council approved the content and distribution of an annual Town report card in order to provide our residents with an opportunity to evaluate the services that the Town provides.

Thank you to everyone that took the time to respond to our call for feedback to make our community a better place for us all!

Report Card Focus

The report card focused on the key service delivery areas that the Town provides to residents under the categories of:

  • Government
  • Administration
  • Emergency Services
  • Infrastructure
  • Community Services
  • Economic Development/Planning
  • Other

Areas Where We Excel:

  • Government Communication (Town Page and Mayor’s message) = Excellent
  • Community Services Library and Museum = Excellent

Areas Needing Improvement:

  • Infrastructure Public Roadways = Needs Improvement
  • Community Services Youth Engagement = Needs Improvement
  • Economic Development Support to Local Businesses = Needs Improvement
  • Attractiveness of Town = Needs Improvement

Next Steps:

The results of the survey have been forwarded to the Senior Management Team and applicable Section Committee for further review and discussion.

This further analysis will enable the Town to act on the areas of concern for our residents and embrace the areas in which we are doing well.
