Penetanguishene - In line with the latest provincial reopening, The Town of Penetanguishene will be reopening Town Hall, the Public Works Administration Building and the Penetanguishene Fire Hall to the public Thursday, February 25, 2021. Previously, these offices were operating by appointment only. The Penetanguishene Centennial Museum will continue to operate on an appointment only basis due to the nature of the services provided and the need to control the number of visitors.
The Town of Penetanguishene Public Works Department would like to advise the residents/businesses that snow will be hauled/removed from the following streets starting tonight February 23rd, 2021 at 11:30 pm until 7:00 am of February 24th, 2021, weather permitting.
TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to By-law 2018-58 of the Town of Penetanguishene, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Penetanguishene will declare surplus 13 Simcoe Street; 17 Jury Drive; 224 Church Street; 171 Fox Street; 111 Church Street; 92 Shanahan Lane; and, 132 Church Street in the Town of Penetanguishene.
The Town of Penetanguishene Public Works Department would like to remind residents/businesses that children are not to build tunnels or forts inside snowbanks within municipal road allowances or parking lots. Plow drivers can arrive at any time, day or night, within the road network and municipal parking lots and may not be able to see children playing inside the snowbanks.
Penetanguishene – On February 3, 2021, a virtual public consultation was held to engage members of the public in a Town Dock Study Visioning Workshop. Over 30 residents, members of Council, and staff were in attendance. Each provided valuable feedback assessing the current conditions at the Town Dock and opportunities and challenges in the future.
The Town of Penetanguishene, Town of Midland, Township of Tay, and Township of Tiny have joined together to develop a North Simcoe Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Plan.
This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene Public Works Department to inform you that Lucy Street will be closed between Jeffery Street to Robert Street East, on Friday, February 19th, 2021 between the hours of 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. The road closure/restriction is required for a sewer repair.
Notice to Residents and Businesses: The Town of Penetanguishene would like to inform residents/businesses that the Road Division will be commencing snow removal in accordance with the Snow Removal Policy. Snow removal operations will be initiated in the Critical and Primary Areas, which are outlined in detail here.
