Committee of Adjustment: Notice of Minor Variance Application
The Committee of Adjustment for the Town of Penetanguishene will hold an electronic public hearing to consider a Minor Variance application under Section 45 of the Planning Act.

Proposal
The application proposes the construction of a new single detached dwelling with an additional dwelling unit within the main building. The requested variance would allow the additional dwelling unit to have a larger floor area than currently permitted by the Zoning By-law.
Requested Variance
- Permit an additional dwelling unit with a gross floor area of 86% (91.5 m²) of the principal dwelling
- Whereas the maximum permitted is 45% (48.4 m²)

Written comments are encouraged and should be submitted by February 18, 2026, although comments will be accepted up until the time of the meeting.
