- Council approved the minutes from the June 11, 2025, Special Council Meeting and Council Meeting.
- Council received a memo from the Director of Finance/Treasurer regarding an amendment to the Tax Rate By-law 2025-17.
- Council directed Town staff to submit Expression of Interest and complete an application for the Municipal Ice Storm Assistance Program.
- Council approved proposed changes to the Administrative Monetary Penalty System and the Short-term Rental By-law to implement the Automated Speed Enforcement program.
- Council approved Van Pelt Construction to proceed with the sand dome replacement project.
- Council received supplemental information to staff report RDS-2025-14 related to the Construction Services contract tender award report regarding awarding construction services contract as supplemental information to staff report RDS-2025-14.
- Council approved the Committee of the Whole Report from June 11, 2025.
- Council passed 5 by-laws:
- 2025-29 Set the rates of taxation for 2025.
- 2025-30 Zoning By-law Amendment for 128 Burke Street.
- 2025-31 Landmark Cruises Tour and Charter Boat Operations Agreement.
- 2025-32 Amend the Short Term Rental By-Law.
- 2025-33 Repeal and Replace AMPS By-law 2022-60.
Committee of the Whole (Committee) facilitates the decision-making process of Council. The Committee is comprised of all members of Council who fully participate in debate and forward recommendations to Council for final decision. Items that are discussed in Committee of the Whole are to be ratified at Council’s next meeting.
TRANSPORTATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
- Committee received the LePage Drinking Water System Inspection Report 2025.
- Committee approved an agreement between the Town of Penetanguishene and Lakeland Solutions for two (2) EV charging stations at the following locations:
- Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre
- Penetanguishene Town Dock
- Committee approved the extension of the Biosolids Management contract with the Region of Huronia Environmental Services for a five (5) year term.
RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES
- Committee received the Wellbeing and Accessibility Committee Meeting Minutes April 10, 2025, for information.
- Committee received the Summer Culture Festival Ad hoc Committee Meeting Minutes May 6, 2025, for information.
- Committee approved the draft ice user agreement between the Town of Penetanguishene and the Georgian Bay Minor Hockey Association.
PLANNING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
- Committee received a Memo regarding a Complete Application for 39 Poyntz Street and scheduling of a Public Meeting to consider Zoning By-law Amendment application, for information.
- Committee received an update from the Town Dock Technical Advisory Committee regarding the Town Dock Secondary Plan and the Master Plan.
- Committee received the Town Dock Ad hoc Committee meeting minutes from May 5, 2025.
- Committee endorsed the refusal of Community Improvement Plan application for 119 Main Street.
FINANCE AND CORPORATE SERVICES
- Committee received Huronia Communities Foundation Youth Endowment Fund Annual Report.
- Committee received a memo from the Director of Legislative Services regarding the LED digital sign update.
- Committee approved funds budgeted for the Culture Alliance in the Heart of Georgian Bay Committee Partnership and surplus received from its dissolution be allocated to the Summer Cultural Event Ad hoc Committee reserve fund.
