Flags lowered in honour of the mass grave found at the Kamloops residential school site

Flags on Town properties will be lowered to half-mast in honour of the 215 children found in a mass grave at a residential school in Kamloops, British Columbia.

This half-masting is also in memory of the thousands of children who were sent to residential schools, for those who never returned, and in honour of the families whose lives were forever changed by the residential school system.

The flags will remain lowered for 215 hours to recognize this tragedy.
