Installation of New Posted Speed Signs and One Way Traffic Direction Change on Levi Simon Trail

 

This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene Public Works Department, in accordance with the Implementation of Traffic/Parking By-law Amendments Policy, to inform residents and businesses that the following changes to Schedule J and B of the Traffic/Parking By-law are being proposed by Town staff:

The purpose of the proposed amendment is to provide a posted speed limit on Levi Simon Trail that reflects the surrounding land use and dimensions of the existing road surface.

 

The change in direction for the one way traffic portion of Levi Simon Trail is to improve access to the Medical Office located at 3 Simcoe Street for the elderly and those with disabilities.

 

The proposed changes to the Traffic/Parking By-law are being recommended for approval in a report being presented to the Committee of the Whole on January 9, 2019.
