Notice of Preventative Road Maintenance Work - August 5, 2026
The Town of Penetanguishene, in partnership with Superior Road Products, will be applying a preventative road maintenance treatment to the following roads on Wednesday, August 5, 2026:
- Champlain Road (between Robbs Road and Military Road)
- Hatton Drive
- Bellisle Road
- Beausoleil Drive
- St. Amant Road
- Rogers Road
- Mackenzie Court
The work is expected to take one (1) day to complete, weather permitting.
During the application process, lane restrictions will be in effect. Motorists are asked to exercise caution and follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.
A sand cover will be applied to the treated asphalt surface and will be removed later the same day. Please use caution when driving on areas where loose sand is present.
If a vehicle enters a freshly treated section before sand has been applied, any sealer residue can typically be removed using a pressure washer and a degreasing soap.
