Description of Pilot Program

Currently, in the Town of Penetanguishene, ATVs/ORVs are not permitted on any local roads, or on trails. Council is considering a 1-year Pilot Program whereby ATVs/ORVs would be permitted on ALL municipal roads. Further, the operation of the ATV/ORV would be required to comply with the Highway Traffic Act and the Off-Road Vehicles Act with respect to safe operation of the vehicle, safety equipment, speed, etc.
