Notice to Declare Land Surplus and Sale

NOTICE

TO DECLARE SURPLUS AND SALE 
13 SIMCOE STREET; 17 JURY DRIVE; 224 CHURCH STREET; 171 FOX STREET; 111 CHURCH STREET; 92 SHANAHAN LANE; AND, 132 CHURCH STREET IN THE TOWN OF PENETANGUISHENE

TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to By-law 2018-58 of the Town of Penetanguishene, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Penetanguishene will declare surplus 13 Simcoe Street; 17 Jury Drive; 224 Church Street; 171 Fox Street; 111 Church Street; 92 Shanahan Lane; and, 132 Church Street in the Town of Penetanguishene.

AND TAKE NOTICE THAT Council intends to pass a By-law to authorize the surplus and sale of the subject lands at its meeting to be held on March 10, 2021 at 7:00 pm via an Electronic Council Meeting held on the Zoom platform;

ON MAY 13, 2020 Council approved that the subject lands be identified as surplus in keeping with Staff Report PL-2020-03 and be listed for sale through a real estate brokerage firm that is retained through a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process;

THE SURPLUS LAND will be sold through local real estate brokerage firm “Team Jordan” at a minimum of the assessed value price as determined and approved with Staff Report PL-2021-04 on February 13, 2021;

AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that if you have any questions or concerns on this matter or wish to make written representations to the Town, please contact the Town Clerk’s Office at scooper@penetanguishene.ca or by phone at (705) 549-7453 ex 211 by no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday March 10, 2021 in order that any issues may be considered prior to a final passage of the By-law.
