Notice To Declare Surplus and Sale

NOTICE TO DECLARE SURPLUS AND SALE 
WATERLOTS IN FRONT OF 79 CHAMPLAIN ROAD AND 222 FOX STREET IN THE TOWN OF PENETANGUISHENE

TAKE NOTICE that, pursuant to By-law 2018-58 of the Town of Penetanguishene, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Penetanguishene will declare two (2) waterlots in front of 79 Champlain Road (Hindson Marina) and 222 Fox Street (Foundry Cove Marina) in the Town of Penetanguishene to be surplus to the needs of the municipality.

AND TAKE NOTICE THAT Council intends to pass a By-law to authorize the surplus and sale of the subject lands at its meeting to be held on October 11, 2023 at 7:00 pm in Council Chambers, 10 Robert Street West, Penetanguishene;

ON APRIL 12, 2023 Council approved that the subject lands be identified as surplus in keeping with Staff Report PL-2023-09 and PL-2023-11;

THE SURPLUS LAND will be sold through a purchase and sale agreement.  The purchase price of the water lot in front of 37 Champlain Road (Hindson Marina) is $107,900 and the waterlot in front of 222 Fox Street (Foundry Cove Marina) is $27,000.

AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that if you have any questions or concerns on this matter or wish to make written representations to the Town, please contact the Town Clerk’s Office at scooper@penetanguishene.ca or by phone at (705) 549-7453 ex 211 by no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday October 5, 2023 in order that any issues may be considered prior to a final passage of the By-law.
