Penetanguishene Springs into Action and Embraces Provincial Day of Action on Litter

The Town of Penetanguishene is proud to announce its participation in the Provincial Day of Action on Litter. This annual event, taking place on May 14th, is dedicated to taking action on litter and keeping our communities clean.

This year, the Town of Penetanguishene is encouraging residents to participate from May 1, 2024 - May 14, 2024 by signing up to pledge a road or park to clean. The Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre will have a map available for residents to choose their designated cleaning area.

Bags and gloves will be provided for participants to use. Filled bags can be dropped off at the Arena for disposal, or residents can contact the Arena to organize a collection pickup.

“We are excited to see our community come together for this important cause,” said Sherry Desjardins, Director of Recreation and Community Services. “We believe that every small action contributes to a larger impact. Let’s all join together to make our community a cleaner and a more beautiful place to live.”
