Pre-Construction Public Information Centre for the Chatham Street Reconstruction Project

This notice has been issued by the Town of Penetanguishene to inform the residents/businesses of Chatham Street that a pre-construction public information session will be held virtually for the Chatham Street Reconstruction Project on Tuesday May 24, 2022 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide the public, and the residents of Chatham Street the opportunity to meet with representatives from the Town, Pennorth Group Limited and WMI & Associates, so that any questions or concerns can be addressed near the start of construction.  This pre-construction session will focus on the works taking place in Phase two (2), which is from Beck Boulevard to Brock Street. 

The scope of the work proposed on Chatham Street between Burke Street and Brock Street will include the following:

  • Removal and replacement of the asphalt surface and granular sub-grade.
  • Installation of concrete curbs and concrete sidewalks and a parking lane.
  • Storm sewer, sanitary lateral, watermain and water service replacement.
  • Driveway entrance restoration and boulevard landscaping.

This notification will be hand delivered and posted on the Town’s website at www.penetanguishene.ca.
