Protect Your Pet: Visit the Low-cost Rabies Clinic October 24th

Every year, the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit works with local veterinarians to arrange low-cost rabies clinics for animals in our local area. These clinics occur in the fall and we encourage you to take advantage of them if your dog or cat was not vaccinated during a routine veterinary visit.

The low-cost rabies clinic for Penetanguishene will be hosted at the Penetanguishene Veterinary Hospital, October 24th from 9am – 12pm.

This clinic will be doing 1-year vaccines for the cost of $25 HST included.

Clinic instructions:

  • Please ensure your dogs are on a leash and cats are restrained.
  • All animals must be over 3 months of age.
  • Cost of $25 is per animal and ONLY CASH will be accepted.
  • Please line up outside of the clinic front entrance.

Additional COVID-19 instructions:

  • Do not attend a clinic if you are ill.
  • Wear a mask or face covering.
  • Practice physical distancing (staying 2 metres away from others).
  • Wash hands with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand rub immediately before and after visiting clinic.
