Seeking members for our new Community Wellbeing Committee

Seeking members for our new Community Wellbeing Committee

Council and Staff are pleased to announce that after a full review of our advisory committees, we have decided to merge the Seniors, Youth and Accessibility into the Community Wellbeing Committee.

This new and exciting Committee will take an active role in the town’s community wellbeing. We will build on existing plans and support the strategic directions in the areas where there may be gaps related to issues like neighbourhood safety, neighbourhood revitalization, vibrant neighbourhoods, and inclusive community design.

We are excited to have representatives come together from our Senior, Youth, Accessibility, Francophone and Indigenous groups working together collaboratively to make our community the best it can be. The members of this committee will provide support and advice to Council, applicable Staff and other associated Advisory Committees relative to enhancing the health and quality of life for Penetanguishene residents through a wide range of innovative, inclusive, and accessible events, programs, and infrastructure; providing opportunities for physical activity, social interaction and community engagement for all ages and demographics.

If you are interested in being a representative on this Committee please complete the application form and submit it to the Clerk for consideration. The deadline for submission is 2pm on Friday April 12, 2019. For more information or to have an application form emailed to you please email the Clerk, Stacey Cooper.
