1.         Questions received as of May 2, 2018

Q1       Can you please clarify how much the road occupancy permit is?

A1       There is no charge for the issuance of a Road Occupancy Permit.

Q2       Could you please clarify the allowable % of RAP as there is a discrepancy between the    schedule of items and the specifications?

A2       A maximum allowable RAP of 10% is to be used within the asphalt mix as specified in         the form of tender – schedule of items and unit prices.

Q3       With respect to the asphalt gutter is the asphalt material to be included within the cost of   the line item? If so how will payment be determined for the separation of material from        the roadway and the gutter?

A3       The quantity of asphalt used to form the gutter has been included in the overall quantity         provided in the form of tender for the supply, placement and compaction of the roadway           asphalt. The linear meter quantity provided for the asphalt gutter is for the forming and     creation of the gutter in echelon with the asphalt spreader during paving operations.

Q4       With respect to the price adjustment for PGAC will the same adjustment of +/-$15 be        applied to 58-34? The specification states an adjustment on PGAC 58-28.

A4       Yes, the asphalt price adjustment outlined within section 5.3.2.6 of the tender document       applies PGAC 58-34.

Q5       Will the contractor be allowed to complete multiple roads in conjunction with each other?

A5       Yes, the paving of multiple roads simultaneously will be permitted.
