Town of Penetanguishene Celebrates VON Week 2021
(Penetanguishene) May 23, 2021 – The Town is celebrating VON week from May 23 – 29. This year’s theme, Compassion where it Counts, acknowledges the compassionate care staff and volunteers continue to provide to keep people healthy and safe at home – at a time where this is more important than ever.
Across Ontario, VON employees have continued to be on the front lines of the COVID-19 response. The efforts of VON caregivers are helping to keep people fed, cared for and safe in their homes. These efforts are essential, and in many cases help reduce further strain on our local hospitals. During VON week, we celebrate VON staff who deliver this care or play a role behind the scenes, along with volunteers and donors who support this work.
