Town of Penetanguishene invites residents to sign the Book of Condolences for the late Queen Elizabeth II

A memorial tribute has been set up for display at Penetanguishene Town Hall following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The book of condolences will be available Tuesday September 13 at Town Hall, (10 Robert Street West) between the hours of 8:30am – 4:30PM. Residents, local elected officials and visitors are invited to sign the book of condolences in remembrance of Queen Elizabeth II until the day of the funeral service.

A second book of condolences will be brought to all Penetanguishene retirement and long-term care homes for those who are not able to come in-person.

“I know there are many community members who are feeling a great sense of loss at this time and would like to share their feelings of sympathy with The Royal Family,” said Mayor Leroux. “This book is one way we can share our condolences, memories and heartfelt feelings with the family.”

Both books of condolences will be later sent to the Royal Family.
