Town of Penetanguishene invites you a Bike Rodeo for Bike Month!

The Town of Penetanguishene is excited to host a Bike Rodeo for Bike Month on June 17, 2023. This event aims to promote cycling safety, active transportation, and community engagement.

The Bike Rodeo is a free event for children and families, and it will take place at McGuire Park from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. During this time, members of the public will not be able to park in the McGuire Park Parking lot. Parking is available on adjoining municipal streets.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a skills course including a helmet fitting, bike inspection, and safe riding procedures.

The Georgian Bay Women’s Cycling Club will be on hand to ensure all participants have a fun and safe experience. Participants will have the opportunity to win prizes, as well as receive free giveaways.

“We’re thrilled to be hosting this event as part of Bike Month,” said Mayor Doug Rawson. “Cycling is a great way to stay active, reduce carbon emissions, and connect with our community.”

Parents are encouraged to attend with their children and bring their bikes and helmets for the event. The Bike Rodeo is a rain-or-shine event, and all participants are reminded to dress appropriately for the weather. Registration isn't required but strongly encouraged, please register at Program: Bike Rodeo (recdesk.com)
