Youth in Penetanguishene Encouraged to Apply for $400 Grant Through Youth Endowment Fund

PENETANGUISHENE, ON - The Town of Penetanguishene is excited to announce the availability of a $400 grant through its Youth Endowment Fund. This grant is open to residents or groups from Penetanguishene, as well as individuals or groups who attend school in the town.

Applicants must be under the age of 30 and engaged in activities that promote Penetanguishene through participation in athletic, artistic, educational, or cultural pursuits. Those who are willing to share their knowledge or skills with the community through volunteer work are encouraged to apply.

Interested individuals or groups under the age of 30 can apply by completing the Youth Endowment Fund Application Form outlining the:

  • Name of group or individual with a qualifying Penetanguishene address or school
  • Activity (athletic, artistic, educational, cultural) and how it promotes the Town of Penetanguishene
  • How the group or individual will share the skill or knowledge with others in the community

Applications must be submitted by 4:30 pm on March 1, 2024, either via email or in person. The Community Wellbeing Advisory Committee, a Committee of Council, will review and score all applications based on predetermined criteria. The successful recipient will be announced during National Youth Week, held annually in the first week of May.
