Notice of Committee of Adjustment: Monday March 23, 2026

 

Please be advised that the Committee of Adjustment for the Town of Penetanguishene will be holding an electronic public hearing on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 7:00 PM to review a Minor Variance application under Section 45 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990.

The hearing will take place online using Microsoft Teams. If you’d like to participate or need instructions on how to join, please contact Owen Taylor, Planner, at otaylor@penetanguishene.ca or 705‑549‑7453 ext. 251.

We encourage you to submit written comments by March 18, 2026, but feedback will be accepted right up to the evening of the meeting.

If you own a property with seven or more residential units, this notice must be posted somewhere visible to all residents.

DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLICATION

The land subject to this Minor Variance application (File No. A3/2026) relates to the property municipally known as 41 Polish Avenue (see Location Map attached).

The purpose of the application is to permit a side yard setback of 1.3 metres for an attached garage whereas a minimum side yard setback of 3.0 metres is permitted. The effect of the application is to permit the reconstruction of an existing attached garage with a larger building footprint.
