Town Dock and Wharf

The Historic Port of Penetanguishene is located at 2 Main Street in Penetanguishene, Ontario.

The Historic Port of Penetanguishene operates seasonally from May 1 to Thanksgiving.

All persons using the Town Dock and Launch Ramp, do so at their own risk. All persons are responsible for their own vessels at all times. There is no maintenance at the Town Dock outside of the seasonal operation dates.

• Marina for seasonal and transient boaters, slip depth from 6-20 feet
• Launching facility for the general public
• Public washrooms and showers
• Ample free daytime parking and paid overnight parking on site
• Tourist Information Centre on-site

Clean Marine Policy 

The Ontario-developed Clean Marine Eco-Rating Program is an environmental program that allows marine businesses to follow best environmental practices to reduce and prevent water, air and land pollution associated with recreational boating activities in Ontario. The Historic Port of Penetanguishene is Clean Marine Certified, with a Gold Eco-Rating.

The Town of Penetanguishene understands and recognizes the vital importance of maintaining a clean, natural environment as being fundamental to success and community wellbeing. As a Clean Marine Certified facility, the Historic Port of Penetanguishene commits itself to the best of its ability to:  

• Eliminate the release of contaminants to the water column, both directly and indirectly.  

• Minimize the release of pollutants to the atmosphere.  

• Avoid contamination of the ground. 

• Adopt waste reduction, reuse and recycling strategies.  

• Optimize energy and water conservation.  

• Promote good environmental practices to all parties.  
• Abide by and, where possible, exceed the requirements of all relevant legislation.
