About the Midland Penetanguishene Transit Committee

The Midland Penetanguishene Transit Committee supports the Midland Penetanguishene Transit Service at achieving it's objectives, which are as follows:

• To provide conventional fixed route service through the operation of a safe, efficient, reliable, customer-service orientated transit service with well trained, supervised, managed and motivated professional bus drivers, maintenance staff, management and supporting staff using clean and well maintained transit buses.
• To deliver services in a manner that maximizes ridership, optimizes the effectiveness of scheduled revenue hours, increases passenger revenues, maximizes positive customer comments, minimizes negative customer comments, minimizes fuel consumption, works diligently to protect the environment and to reduce its carbon footprint and provide these services at reasonable cost.
• To provide a public transit service that is attractive to the citizens of Penetanguishene as an alternative to single occupancy vehicles.
• To provide experience and knowledge in the development and/or
  operation of new revenue generating proposals to improve the affordability of transit services within the region, thereby supporting the long term sustainability of public transit.

Meetings

The Committee meets quarterly, additional meetings may be held at the call of the Chair.
